CPD4ALL are proud to have been commissioned by Health Education England to undertake a project to review the workplace based assessment tools used in the health professions in order to inform the identification of tools that could be used in during the pre-registration pharmacist training programme. The project aims to:
- Identify potential workplace based assessments to support pharmacists in their role as tutors for pharmacist pre-registration trainees across a range of practice settings.
- Gather feedback from relevant stakeholders on acceptability and application in practice, to inform the likelihood of tools to be used in the work place.
- Identify if there are gaps in the range of workplace based assessment tools currently in use, and if there is a need to develop any bespoke tools aligned to the variety of pharmacist practice settings.
- Identify aspects of pharmacist tutor education that may be required to introduce workplace based assessment tools into the pre-registration year more widely.
